With DirecTV, I have the same types of decisions of the packages of programs that we have cable TV. Basically the average “most popular” package and the package with everything includes even the kicthen sink. There is also a selection of premium channels, as with cable TV. You can get paid sports programs, movie channels, Pay-Per-View, etc. I opted for a film package, whereas with cable, we used to two, but knew that we do not need two. They also have NFL football package that will allow you to catch every NFL game, not just the local or on the networks this one is called NFL Sunday Ticket. That was a huge selling point for my husband as he tailgates with his friends in our garage every Sunday.

The Set-Up

It was really not so much. The DirecTV satellite dish is not so great, and it was installed and the wiring of my entire house in less than an hour. The installer gave me a quick overview of how to deal with the programming and remote controls are. We had it in three, our living room, the, and a garage (for the football games!). This was an exciting NFL TV Package.  

Customer Service

I would love to tell you how great the customer service at DirecTV, but the fact is, I have not had to use it. I’ve never been a problem. While many people warn, satellite TV, say it a lot in bad weather, it’s honestly only a handful of passes in the last two years. My cable TV was more often and longer. While the satellite can be used for a half hour or so, the cable would sometimes for hours.

The All-Factor: The Price

I find the price of DirecTV with cable TV basically the same, but of course different comparisons to exist for different services in different areas. But, for the “most popular” cable-TV package, along with two movie-channel packages that we pay almost 100 dollars per month. For the “most popular” satellite TV package, along with a movie channel package, and the TiVo DVR monthly, we pay almost $ 80 a month. I would much rather than the other TIVO-film package, and I’m paying $ 20 less per month! The football package that my husband has is a flat fee and invoiced separately, but around $250.00. This is a really great NFL TV.
