What makes a pro golf player different from an amateur golf player?

Anybody can become an amateur golf player. A professional or a pro golf player is one who makes his life playing golf. If you want to be a pro golf player, you must start taking parts in tournaments and contests. Start as an amateur golf player to check whether you ultimately turn to be a pro golf player. If you want to be a pro golf player, you just state that you wish to play as a pro golf player for money.

According to PGA Tour, you must make an application with a small entry fee. You must then qualify in two individual tournaments to get through PGA Tour finals. It may take around 8 to 10 years of playing and practicing, both regularly and in tournaments to be a professional golf player. You must also play and practice 6 to 7 days every week and better have the motivation. Becoming a pro golf player does not require winning past tournament. However, you must qualify in order to become a pro golf player. This is very important as most pro golf players really win at least one or two tournaments.
